Meet the Founder
Hello and welcome to Avsthetics! My name is Ava Lazar and I'm an 18 year old Canadian small-town girl with big dreams!
The story of Avsthetics began with my love for art and creative expression, which has always been a huge part of my life and my favourite pass-time. I have always been fond of drawing and painting, and over the years I have expanded my creative knowledge with new techniques and art forms. During the Covid-19 lockdown, I found myself with loads of extra time to spend on my artwork. However, I decided I wanted to try something new, and that's when I picked up resin for the first time. Immediately I grew an immense love for the craft, as I could suddenly transfer my artistic skills from a page or a canvas to items people can wear. I then decided to make it my mission to share these handmade joys with as many people as I could, and so I decided to start my own business.
As my business progressed I began to gain some traction and my love for learning took hold, and I started experimenting with a new medium; polymer clay. I immediately loved working with it and as I developed this skill, I began to release new jewelry products made with clay.
Today, I sell resin and polymer clay jewelry that I make by hand with loads of love, with the mission of creating versatile products that cater to a variety of different styles/aesthetics, all while making our jewelry/accessories with hypoallergenic materials that are safe for sensitive skin.
